WALT: use correct sentence punctuation in our blog posts and comments.
I have a very limited range of Artists, mainly because I prefer silence to music, but I do like classical music such as Mozart and Chopin (pronounced Chow-Pan), because their music is relaxing and calm, and somewhat relates to birds chirping and waves in the ocean. Such instruments used include the Violin, Flute and Piano.
I am a Year 8 student at Kaingaroa School in Northland, NZ. I am in Huia Whānau and my teacher is Miss Fleet.

Hobbies
WALT: use correct sentence punctuation in our blog posts and comments
My hobbies: I a very limited amount of hobbies, which despite I am not certain it is classified as a hobby, is researching. I favour researching topics, particularly cars and insects because they share a vast amount of variety. I enjoy researching so I can have more knowledge on a particular subject.

First day at tech recount
WALT: use correct sentence punctuation in our blog posts and comments.
On the first day of technology for 2020, the year 8 students, which was my group were chosen for the subject on cooking. At first, the teacher, Miss Du Flou introduced us into the the classroom, and then we got our folders out, and then put whole group organised ourselves into groups of 2. The task we were given was to make corn fritters, which ingredients consisted of egg, corn and pepper. This task was not too difficult yet not simple and easy. I personally found the task fun because I enjoyed mixing the eggs into liquid, and also doing the dishes, and I was working Joshua.

Water balloon team building
WALT: work as a team
On Wednesday, Huia Whanau received a task requiring water balloons and a maximum of 5 students, who stood in a circle or square, and passed the water balloon to each other, without dropping the balloon. On the first grouping, I worked with Imogen, Manaia and Riki, which all worked together well, but in the first task, the balloon dropped soon after starting, but as more tasks came there were increasingly less balloons falling. The next grouping of students in my group included Jack, Imogen and Manaia. For currently unknown reasons, Riki was swapped for jack, but however the next grouping became better at catching the balloon.

Marshmallow tower team building
WALT: work together as a team.
Yesterday, Huia Whanau received a team-building task to build a tower, consisting of marshmallows and skewers, which we needed to attach by pushing the skewers into the marshmallows. Our tower proved unstable, and collapsed multiple times, until we made a new, final re-design. Most of the team collaborated, until people started to get off-track near to the end.

Team building
WALT: work together as a team.
Yesterday Huia Whanau were given a task that involves a collaboration of a maximum of 5 students; which was building a tower of cups without the use of limbs; instead using a rubber band and a string.
The first task was difficult because not everyone was collaborating well, and the cups repeatedly fell or sunk into another cup. The second task was much more effective because everyone collaborated well and virtually no cups fell of. For the first task, I worked with Riley, Joshua and Manaia. For the second task, I worked with Joshua, Jack and Dylan.
